Larry is a high school math teacher at a Catholic high school in southwestern Pennsylvania. His design and approach to lettering were influenced by the classes he took from Arnold Bank at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and from Hermann Zapf at Rochester Institute of Technology. Larry and Marge, his wife for 30 years, live in Connellsville PA. They have two daughters: Molly, a pianist, in Washington DC, and Margo, an editor, in New York City.
